I have a tiny bit of money saved up. I think it is enough for me to invest €1000 in some equipment to stock an office with state-of-the-art telephony (inc. conferencing) and network infrastructure, along with the whole email/calendar/web-site hosting and ftp communications stuff. If I could then lease that to somebody for €100 a month...
The idea is to build it all out of freeware and stuff, and see how it goes.

I think you also have to take into account maintenance. Do you have time to maintain such a system?
I didn't know you could lease such things...
well, i buy them, on credit once it gets running, and lease. my friend and i are considering setting it up as a full time business, and delegating the work to employees once it gets going, and then leveraging the cash flow stream from the leases to generate capital for a more intellectual project.
